Dave Holden, Genesis Christian Counseling

I can still picture the scene. A white Plymouth is parked in the street near my driveway. Dave Holden is in the car with his mother. It's late August of 1966 and Mrs. Holden is going to drive the two 4-5 year olds to Culbertson Elementary School in Newtown Square, PA for our first day of kindergarten.

"Hi, I'm Chuck."

"Hi, I'm Dave."

It was the beginning of a lifelong friendship. I remember Dave and I running under his father's pool table as his older brother Paul's rock band jammed feet away. I remember the fort we built as the music of Jim Morrison and The Doors played on the radio. Within a few years, we were playing street hockey every moment we could. This included May 11, 1975, the day Dave accidentally knocked out my two front teeth when I was playing goalie without a mask. Our teens included lawn cutting, paper routes, and Saturday night excursions to Newtown Square Pizza.

Dave and I were roommates at Gordon College in 1980-1981. He was the best man in my wedding in 1985. Over the past decade, he has been a priceless resource as he helped me navigate through some hard times. He is a partner in Genesis Christian Counseling in the St. Louis, MO area. He is also the author of Getting to the Heart of Your Marriage. We are toying with the idea of traveling together to South Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming in the next year or two.

Dave and I share not only the joys and disappointments of publishing a book, we also share our deep faith in Jesus Christ, informed by our roots in the PCA.

This is the Dave Holden, the Covenant Theological Seminary alumnus who you also have had the pleasure to get to know. I shared Gramazin with Dave. He offered to introduce me to his friends from the seminary, friends who pastor churches around the country.

Please browse the menu items above and learn about Gramazin. After you do, can I have 15 minutes of your time? Please email me and let's setup a time to talk. I look forward to hearing from you.

God bless!
